Matthew CohenFeatured Artist

As a professional nautical photographer with over 15 years of experience, Matthew Cohen’s talent is reflected in how he discovers unique perspectives, captures motion, and understands the marine world. Matthew graduated from Roger Williams University during the digital photography explosion. Matthew acquired his love of boating as a child and raced with the RWU Varsity Team. He then became a sailing instructor at the renowned Sail Newport Sailing Center, and has logged over 30,000 ocean miles. Being a professional sailor for over a decade has given Matthew the tools, know-how and ability to brave ends of super yacht bow sprits, dangle 100’ above the deck, or dive below the surface to produce rare and enduring works of art. The July gallery show at Sprout CoWorking, PVD blends Matthew’s photography with his passion for the sea.

Hillary WeinbergerFeatured Artist

Hillary Weinberger has been making art her whole life. This collection includes works of art made over the past 10 years. Her preferred subject is natural scenery, often painting from her own photographs to solidify herself with her own memories. Her preferred method is acrylic paint. She’ll paint on canvas, card board boxes, furniture, walls – really any surface that lends itself to a pretty picture. All it takes is a sunny day and a good playlist.

Colorful, Fluid, and Intense … Jim Bradley’s Exhibit at Sprout CoWorking

” As far back as I can remember, I have always been creative … drawing, painting, building, you name it, ” states Jim Bradley.

Bradley’s current creations are on exhibit in the art gallery at Sprout CoWorking, 489 Main St, from July 3 to August 2.

These latest pieces consist of unique psychedelic-like paintings that utilize poured resin, inks, and pure pigments as the medium. The paintings are the result of pure improvisation and experimentation between the artist and his work. “With this process one cannot hesitate or worry about the outcome. The process is fluid, intense and at times unforgiving.” These latest works contain beautiful details that arise from his intuitive process and keen eye for design.

Jim’s studio and gallery are located at Hope Artiste Village, 1005 Main St, Unit #1107, Pawtucket, RI. Classes in acrylic and resin pouring are offered several times a month at the studio, in local galleries, and art centers.
