December 2019 Gallery Opening: Howard Rotblat-Walker

Warren

Howard Rotblat-Walker

Howard Rotblat-Walker’s most recent work are assemblages of reflected and repeated sections from his photographs to create abstract patterns. Some resemble the patterns created by a kaleidoscope. Some incorporate patterns reminiscent of Islamic tiles and textiles. Still others explore the repetitive patterns of line and color used in decorative objects such as Japanese fans.

While Howard’s photography is auto-didactic, he holds degrees in Sociology from the Illinois Institute of Technology and the University of Chicago. As a graduate student he started pushing the capabilities of computer software applications. Digital image editing to create art is a continuation of his software expertise and is very much a part of what he creates.

Howard Rotblat-Walker is an award-winning artist member of Imago Gallery/Imago Foundation for the Arts, and has exhibited at the Newport Art Museum, the RI Center for Photographic Arts, Art Night Bristol-Warren, the Bristol Art Museum, the Attleboro Arts Museum, the Wickford Art Association, and the Newport Photographers Guild. His work can be found online at https://hrwfineartphoto.com/home.html.

Join us for an opening night celebration in Sprout Warren on December 6th from 6 to 8pm. RSVP to the event on Facebook.
