“Leonardo da Vinci said to “Study the science of art. Study the art of science. Develop your senses-especially learning to see. Realize that everything connects to everything else”
I taught science and art for 35 years. I believe that art and science are intrinsically connected. I also believe that humans and animals are intrinsically connected. I paint and draw the animals around me to satisfy my need to truly see them and through seeing, to understand. I am in awe of what animals bring to our lives and by creating art inspired by them, I hope to better connect with the life around me. “

The Little Clay Studio is a ceramics cooperative for adults with developmental and physical disabilities. Artists produce a line of tableware that is sold at art shows and to restaurants and private residences throughout the country. Through images and language, this exhibition will showcase the individuals that have made TLC Studio a success.
The Gallery at Sprout Warren is also pleased to present November 16 – 29 “The Together Project” a display of Art Night Bristol-Warren’s collaborative project, based on Shepard Fairey’s artwork “RI Angel of Hope and Strength” (below). Working from sections of Shepard Fairey’s piece, Art Night invited the community to select a section and make it their own. There were no rules and the finished individual gems were then joined with others to create ten posters. Each adorned segment represents how we as individuals can come together to create something beautiful and strong in the midst of a debilitating pandemic.
Sprout is in accordance with the Reopening RI guidelines and is protected by Ocean State Shields. Face masks are required for visitors in our galleries. Contact: gallerymanager@sproutcoworking.com for more information.
