In Warren this month:
This July the Gallery at Sprout Warren (489 Main St) is presenting new paintings by Jossy Lownes. Jossy has recently returned to Rhode Island after a long period of time in the west. While living in Utah, Illinois, and Arizona she studied with many nationally known art instructors in the mediums of watercolor, acrylic oil, and mixed media (including collage and printmaking). She enjoys plein aire painting as well as painting from memories and feelings. In both cases, she does not predict the outcome, but is motivated by the marks as they are produced. While she prefers a “sketchy” look, she also prefers some recognizable subject matter. Making art that connects with people is her desire.
The exhibition will be open to the public and on display through July 31st. Visit Sprout Warren to view the work in-person Wed & Thurs 10-6, Sun 10-3 or by appointment. Join us July 29th for an exciting Art Night Bristol Warren event at Sprout. Meet the artist Jossy Lownes and enjoy live music – Sprout Warren will be open from 5:30-8:30pm for Art Night. In Providence this month:
For the month of July the Gallery at Sprout Providence (166 Valley St) is presenting paintings by artist Ewa. The exhibition will be open to the public and on display through July 31st. Come by the Gallery at Sprout to see the artwork in-person weekdays from 9am to 3pm, or by appointment. Join us for Gallery Night Providence at Sprout CoWorking to meet the artist and tour the gallery on July 15th from 5 to 7:30pm.
