October 2022 Gallery Opening: Coco Gordon

For the month of October, The Gallery at Sprout CoWorking (166 Valley St) is showing a multimedia exhibition titled “Familiar: From the Personal to the Universal” by artist Coco Gordon. The show will be on view for the month of October through Friday the 28th, staffed weekdays 9am to 3pm or by appointment for walk-in Gallery visitors.

Gallery Night Providence October 20th:

Please join us in the Gallery at Sprout CoWorking for an opening night celebration of “Familiar: From the Personal to the Universal”. The Gallery Night party will be October 20th when Sprout CoWorking will be open to the public from 5-8pm. There will be drinks and snacks for gallery-goers, plus free guided trolley tours are available from Gallery Night Providence. Stop in anytime between 5-8 or RSVP for a spot on the trolley to take a trip around the city with Sprout CoWorking as a Gallery Night stop on the tour. We hope to see you there!

About Artist Coco Gordon:

Drawing on her unique ability to evoke connections between the personal to the universal, Coco Gordon uses wide-ranging art mediums—from handmade paper and acrylic paintings to photographs and book art. She has a prescient ability to make visible deep cultural inquiries and surface hidden truths. Gordon has exhibited worldwide in the US, Italy, Canada, Austria, Japan, Australia, and more. Her artworks are housed in collections at the Museum of Modern Art, Whitney, American Craft Museum, Getty, Smithsonian, and numerous others. Gordon’s artworks will be on show at Sprout Gallery’s expansive space, with different rooms featuring her creativity through the ages.
