In Providence this season:
We’re back! This February and March The Gallery at Sprout CoWorking (166 Valley St) will display a 45-piece show titled “Sugar, Spice & Everything Nice” with a range of artwork from paintings to digital by artist and illustrator Kelly Brown. The show will be on view for two months until Friday the 28th of March, staffed weekdays 9am to 3pm or by appointment for walk-in Gallery visitors with free parking.
Two Opening Nights:
Please join us for the opening of Sugar Spice and Everything Nice at Sprout CoWorking February 24th from 6-10pm. The reception will be a tea party with costume attire encouraged! There will be merch, tea party foods and desserts – stop in 166 Valley St, free and open to the public!
Later on Gallery Night Providence will be back for the first Third Thursday night of the season. Mark your calendars for a guided tour night on March 16th, 5-8pm. Gallery visitors may signup in advance for trolley and walking tours on Gallery Night’s website or see the show at Sprout anytime during the opening reception 5-8. We hope to see you there.
About the Artist:
Kelly Brown aka KSTAR is a RI illustrator and owner of KStar Studios, she also is the co-owner/publisher of the Community X Productions Magazine. She’s lived in RI all her life, and attended the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth and has a BFA in Design-Illustration. She works in a lot of portraiture, is a member of the RI watercolor society, and helps run a new RI theater company Until the Fat Lady Sings Theater.
The work on display at Sprout this winter is a years worth of travel, imagining, and whimsy. And embodies sugar, spice and everything nice, which is where Kelly tries to stay.
