What is coworking?
Coworking is office and meeting space used by a diverse range of businesses, private individuals and groups, all sharing adjacent offices or desks. It has the benefits of an office—a social environment, a professional location to meet with clients, and the all-important coffee machine and water cooler—as well as an independent and casual nature with options to come in to work occasionally, daily or anything in between to meet members’ needs

What amenities does the Rising Sun Mills campus offer Sprout members?
As a Sprout member, you have access to work and meeting space, coffee, tea, high-speed Wi-Fi, and free parking. The Rising Sun Mills campus provides a riverside picnic area, bike path, scenic walking path, a fitness center and pool table. There is also a yoga studio and a variety of dining choices nearby as well as a Bank of America on Valley Street. Please see more on the Amenities page.
How does Sprout’s mail service work?
All members may use Sprout for their business address. Mail may be picked up or dropped off at the front desk Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. If you need to send a package, USPS, UPS, and FedEx pick up from the mail room at Rising Sun Mills. Please inquire about any specific requests regarding mail.
Can I live at Sprout?
No. However, you can live in the same building as Sprout! We would be happy to introduce you to the people who handle leasing of the apartments upstairs.
How does 24-hour access work?
In Providence, those with a Hot Desk, Brown/Blue Open Office or Private Office membership receive a key fob upon joining Sprout. The electronic key opens the building entrance and the inside door to Sprout, giving 24/7 access to our members.
Is Sprout open on Holidays?
Sprout CoWorking is not staffed or open to the public on the following annual holidays: Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents’ Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving & Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. Members with regular 24/7 access can still use the space when Sprout is closed.
Is there parking?
Members and visitors have access to any of the four Rising Sun Mills campus parking lots around the building. Parking is off-street and steps from our door. Parking is always free at Sprout CoWorking.
Is there public transportation to Sprout?
In Providence, there is a RIPTA bus line that stops two blocks away (19, 17, 27, 28). There are also Zip Cars available on the premises and the Providence AMTRAK / MBTA train station is less than two miles away.
Can I change my membership type?
Sprout memberships are billed on a month-to-month basis with no long-term commitment. You may cancel or upgrade your memberships at any time, we just ask that you give us a 10-day courtesy notice to make the appropriate changes to your account.
Do I need to be a member to rent a meeting room?
You do not have to be a member. Please see a full list of our meeting room rates and make a reservation.
What if I need to cancel my meeting room reservation?
There is no cancellation fee for members. Non-members must cancel up to 24 hours in advance for a full refund.
Can I bring food & beverages?
Yes! We recommend Troop and Easy Entertaining for any catering needs. Coffee, tea and filtered water are on the house, feel free to bring your lunch from home and store it in our full-size fridge.
Can members host their own events at Sprout?

How can I layout the event space?
Our Riverside Event Venue includes the use of 90 chairs and 15 large tables that an be setup in a variety of configurations. In addition to the Riverside Event Venue we offer a smaller and more intimate Cafe area for gatherings of 20-30 people and our Conference Center can comfortably seat 14-20.
Is Sprout wheelchair accessible?
Sprout Providence’s building entry, Hot Desk workspace, meeting rooms, event areas, and restroom are wheelchair accessible. We have several work tables that accommodate wheelchair use ranging from 27″ to 29″ in height.
Look for the four wheelchair accessible parking spaces between Easy Entertaining and Building 3L in the Rising Sun Mills parking lot directly across from Sprout’s entrance sign.
