In Providence this month:
Journeying to Other Worlds: an Art/Music Collaboration invites viewers to witness the outcome of creative dialogue among local artists. Using music from artist-curator Stephen Grigelevich’s album “Music to Fly Your Spaceship to…” the exhibit showcases the power of artistic inspiration by focusing on a specific theme, journeying, in all of its meanings and associations. Spanning jewelry, textile, collage, photography, and paint, the exhibit’s diverse works were produced after each artist listened to the curator’s music. Viewers will be able to listen to songs that inspired each work by scanning QR codes throughout the exhibit. Come see Journeying to Other Worlds all month at The Gallery at Sprout CoWorking, and for the free Gallery Night party on Thursday, April 20th, from 6pm-8pm, to enjoy a live performance of the exhibit’s music, as well as live painting demonstrations!
